Crundwell.us is my personal website. It started way back in 1996, and has gone through several redesigns. In 2001 or 2002, I started using Coppermine which was one of the first database driven photo galleries. For a decade the software power our family photo album — we were posting and sharing photos before sites like Flickr and Photobucket were cool.
The challenge was the development team wasn’t keeping up with releases. While still robust, it lacked several of the key features for sharing in social environments.
We are in the process of rebuilding the site from the ground up. All of our photo galleries are being converted to NextGen and we use a template designed to showcase NextGen galleries.
When we’re finished we’ll have over 7,000 photos in over 100 individual galleries.
